Foxleigh Grove Nursing Home

Who we are

Foxleigh Grove was originally a large private house dating back to the late 18th century. The owners Mr & Mrs Aram improved the fabric and furnishings of the building and carefully designed extensions were added in order to preserve the character and dignity of the original house. Full registration to care for elderly people and physically disabled adults was obtained and they admitted the first residents in 1983.

Mark Aram, the general manager continues to uphold the values, principles and policies of this family owned nursing home, offering a standard of excellence which embraces the fundamental principles of good care practice for its 39 residents.

Dedicated to providing the highest standard of nursing care for the residents while maintaining their:-

Care Quality Commission

We were very disappointed to receive the Requires improvement rating from CQC in January 2020, this was mainly down to administration errors, which have been rectified, and by no means reflects the high standard of care that Foxleigh Grove has built it’s reputation on over the last 37 years.  We were due to be reinspected within a   year but due to Covid-19 this has been delayed.   Please do not let this rating put you off us,  do call and we can go through everything with you, or better still make an appointment to come and visit us.

Our experience of Foxleigh Grove has been one of pleasant surprise. My mother came in last autumn for respite and we have been so comforted by the care she has received that she is now a permanent resident. Foxleigh Grove is a really wonderful find. It is a beautiful family home. All the rooms and gardens
are delightful. All of the staff we have met have been so kind to both my mother and me. I often have questions and I am always given the time and attention to discuss my mother's condition and care - whether this is in person or over the phone. The standard of care here is excellent whether my mother is feeling under the weather and stays resting in her room or is downstairs joining in with activities. The staff all encourage her to be as well as she can and to live life to the full. It’s such a comfort and she feels safe here. I am constantly very relieved that we found this lovely place and thank everyone at Foxleigh for the difference they make to our lives.

As my husband had been diagnosed with vascular dementia and his condition was deteriorating, alongside very long-standing physical health problems leading to very poor mobility I was advised to find a care home for him and Foxleigh Grove was suggested. I visited and chose a room for him for an initial
2-week respite care stay. It was clear he needed to stay permanently and was there for 9 months until his death. I have been delighted with the kindness and care given to him in a place so beautifully furnished and decorated. At all times he received kindness and professional support and, while he was still able, he enjoyed the entertainment provided in the Lounge. I totally recommend Foxleigh Grove to anyone needing the care they provide, and, as a wonderful extra, the excellence of the food provided.

I had to find a nursing home for my mum at very short notice and I can't tell you how relieved I was when I walked into Foxleigh Grove. I instantly felt a lovely homely feeling and once I had a look around and was shown the bedroom on the ground floor where my mum was going to be staying for her short
break of two weeks and met the nursing staff that would be looking after my mum I knew this was the home I wanted my mum to stay at. After visiting and talking with my mum I could see she seemed happy and calm and all the staff were very caring, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this lovely caring home to friends and acquaintances. Thank you to the manager and the team.
